The Main House
About the Space
The main house comfortably sleeps up to twelve guests, with three bedrooms and three and a half baths, including our luxurious Bridal Party Suite that is specifically designed for on-site hair and makeup. Each room has been carefully orchestrated to enhance bridal photos and make the day even more magical.
The adjacent Barn doubles as an indoor event space that can accommodate up to 35 people, which houses a full bar with a two tap kegerator and refrigeration, as well as our Groomsmen’s Lounge, where the groom's party can get ready and relax before doing first looks.
The property offers several stunning outdoor spaces overlooking Port Royal Sound and the Grand Lawn, providing a beautiful natural setting for a variety of gatherings. Guests can enjoy the scenic surroundings, including the built-in outdoor dance floor on the Grand Lawn and one of our photographers’ favorite features—the iconic Ibis Bridge.
The Ibis Bridge overlooks the tranquil Ibis Pond, which often features a pair of nesting white ibis, creating a peaceful and picturesque backdrop for photos. Every aspect of Mitchelville Place has been thoughtfully designed to offer a seamless, elevated, and memorable event experience.

The Barn
A former auto-restoration and sailmaker's workshop; this structure has been transformed into an indoor gathering space for private events. Entertain up to 35 guests with an open floor plan, built-in bar and kegerator, plentiful seating and outdoor decks.

Between the House and Barn lies the Grand Lawn and Pavilion Dance Floor.
