What to Know When Hiring Vendors:
All preferred vendors listed are optional with the exception of the Caterer /Beverage Services and/or rental company.
There is a 25% surcharge of the total cost of the event fee to provide coordination and collect proper documentation needed for these two vendor categories.
Weddings and events with more than 50 guests are required to hire the following:
Beverage Service w/ additional staff for safe food handling & clean-up
Bathroom Trailer Rental
Weddings and events with more than 100 guests are required to hire a Day-of Coordinator or Planner.
Events with 100 guests or less will have the option of using our partner, Carolina Weddings, as their Day-of Coordinator at no additional charge.
All events at Mitchelville Place will include an Airbnb property manager and venue coordinator to assist with details pertaining to the venue.
Additionally, Mitchelville Place's in-house event staff will be involved in every other step of the event, from floorplan design, setup, and break down! Our staff can assist with bathroom rental, vendor selection assistance, COI insurance, and furniture rental so you can focus more on your planning journey!
For large events (50+) we require guests to also retain a professional "Day-of Coordinator" to help with event logistics.

Carolina Weddings has over 20 years of Lowcountry wedding experience designing and providing furnishings for thousands of events in the Southeast and destinations around the world. They provide a catalog of event rentals and installations to choose from, making your event planning less stressful.
Mitchelville Place has partnered with some of the best vendors Hilton Head and surrounding areas has to offer.
Be at ease knowing that we have worked with all these vendors countless times and can say from experience you are hiring the best in the business!
There is no additional charge for hiring a vendor outside of our preferred vendors except for use of a different event rental company and caterers.
If choosing to use a different catering/beverage company and/or event rental company for any party over 50, there is a 25% surcharge of the total event fee incurred in order to ensure they have proper insurance documents and additional coordination.
